How much does video production cost in Dublin?
Short answer: in Dublin, a single professionally produced video from a half-day shoot usually lands between €1,200 and €2,800 ex VAT. A full production day that delivers a batch of videos typically runs €1,800 to €3,500. A two-day event shoot with a full edit package is usually €3,000 to €5,000. Ongoing content plus managed ads normally runs €2,500 to €5,000 a month before ad spend. Those are the ranges we see across Irish studios in 2026, including our own quotes, and the rest of this post explains what moves a job up or down inside them.
What you are actually paying for
A video quote is mostly people and time. A typical day has a director or camera operator, a second operator or sound recordist on bigger jobs, a planning session before the shoot, and then the edit, which is often longer than the shoot itself. Colour grade, sound design, motion graphics and captions all sit in the edit. Kit such as cinema cameras, lighting and drones is included in a studio's day rate, so a "cheap" quote usually means fewer people and less planning, not cheaper cameras.
Typical price bands in Ireland
- Half-day shoot, one or two videos: €1,200 to €2,800. A testimonial, a founder piece to camera, or a short product film.
- Full shoot day, a batch of videos: €1,800 to €3,500. This is the best value per video. We delivered sixteen finished assets for Plantech from one day at the Ideal Home Show: fifteen vertical reels and a website hero film.
- Multi-day event or conference: €3,000 to €5,000 for two days plus the edit. The AIMS Summit in Chicago produced around forty assets for web, ads and social from two days.
- Monthly retainer, content and ads: €2,500 to €5,000 a month, plus your media budget. One shoot day a month, a batch of short-form videos, and the Meta and Google campaigns run behind them. That is how Dream Home gets around six short videos and a long-form piece every month.
What pushes the price up
- Locations and travel. Three sites across Leinster cost more than one showroom.
- Crew size. A single operator is fine for a testimonial. A brand film with lighting, sound and drone needs two or three people.
- Edit complexity. Motion graphics, subtitles in multiple languages and lots of versions add edit days.
- Turnaround. Our standard delivery is seven to ten days. Faster is possible, but it moves other work.
- Talent and licensing. Actors, voice-over and licensed music are extra and are quoted separately.
How to pay less per video
Batch. The single biggest saving is planning one day so it produces a quarter of content instead of one video. Script every deliverable in advance, map it to a speaker and a format, and shoot it all in one go. It is also why we push clients towards a retainer rather than one-off shoots: the planning is already done, the crew knows the business, and every day is productive from the first minute.
Why we do not publish a fixed price list
Because two "one-day shoots" can be completely different jobs. We scope every project around the goal, which is usually leads, not views, and we would rather give you a real number after a 30-minute call than a menu price that changes the moment we hear the brief.
