Product video production in Ireland: demos, reviews and install films

Video production and managed Meta and Google ads from one Dublin team, for businesses across Ireland.

Product video production in Ireland: demos, reviews and install films

In short: Blue Motion Media is a Dublin studio that films product demonstration videos for retailers, ecommerce brands and showrooms across Ireland. We make product-page demos, review-style YouTube series and install videos shot in customers' homes, and cut vertical versions from the same shoot that we can run as Meta and Google ads. Finished videos are usually back within 7 to 10 days of the shoot. Some episodes of McGuirks Golf's nine-part review series passed 20,000 clicks.

Who it is for

  • Retailers and specialist shops selling considered products, from golf clubs to footwear
  • Ecommerce brands that need product-page video and a steady supply of ad creative
  • Showrooms and home improvement suppliers whose product is best seen fitted: stoves, fireplaces, media walls, kitchens
  • Brands, distributors and publishers launching or covering new products
  • Clinics and service businesses where a piece of equipment, like a 3D foot scanner, is part of the pitch

What you get

Product demo films

The product doing its job, shot close with proper lighting and sound so buyers see the detail, the finish and how it works. Cut in 16:9 for product pages, YouTube and showroom screens.

Review-style YouTube series

A presenter or expert puts the product through its paces in the same structure every episode, so the channel feels like a show rather than a run of one-off uploads.

Install and in-use videos

Your product fitted or in use in a real customer's home, from the work in progress to the finished room and the customer's reaction.

Launch films and vertical reels

A launch edit for YouTube and 9:16 reels for Instagram, Facebook and Shorts, shot on the same day so a new product goes out everywhere at once.

Ad cuts with different hooks

Short versions with different openings, offers and lengths, built for testing in Meta and Google ads, so the account is never relying on one video that tires within weeks.

Product stills from the shoot

Product and premises photography taken alongside the video, retouched and graded, for your website, listings and static ads.

How it works

1

Strategy call and a deliverables list

A free 30-minute call to agree which products to feature, which questions buyers ask before they buy, and where each video will run. Every video gets a format, a purpose and a place in the plan before we film.

2

Scripts, shot lists and prep

We write the scripts or talking points and a shot list covering every close-up, angle and version, so the shoot day runs tight and fits around your trading hours.

3

Shoot day, where the product lives

A half or full day in your shop or showroom, in a customer's home, on the course or on location, with cinema cameras, lighting, sound and drone. We frame for 9:16 and 16:9 at the same time.

4

Edit, grade and delivery

Sound design, motion graphics, music, subtitles and colour grade, with finished videos usually back within 7 to 10 days of the shoot. Everything arrives in a shared Google Drive in every format you need, with the raw footage alongside the finished edits, and you own the videos.

5

Run, test and report

If you want us to, we run the videos as Meta and Google ads, set up conversion tracking through Google Tag Manager, test the hooks against each other and scale the ones that bring in enquiries. A monthly report shows the leads, what each one cost and what we would do next.

Which type of product video do you need?

Irish buyers research before they spend. In 2025, 92% of internet users in Ireland went online to find information about goods and services, and 85% bought goods or services online (CSO, Household Digital Consumer Behaviour 2025). A product video answers their questions before they contact you, and each type answers a different one.

  • Demo: how does it work? The product doing its job, close up. StepRight's 3D foot scanner was filmed close in a darkened room, so the scan itself became the hook (StepRight).
  • Review-style: is it any good? A presenter or expert tests the product and gives a view. McGuirks Golf's Vokey SM11 review has a PGA Professional on the course, cut to the same structure as every other episode in the series. If you pay a creator to review your product on their own channels, joint guidance from the CCPC and the ASAI says the post should be labelled #Ad (CCPC and ASAI). This is general information, not legal advice.
  • Install and in-use: what will it look like in my home? The product fitted in a real room. Dream Home's monthly install reels are shot in the homes the stoves and media walls were fitted in.
  • Launch film: what is new? A YouTube edit and a vertical reel for Instagram, shot together, as with Irish Golfer's equipment launches.
  • Mood film: how will it feel? No talking, just the product. Dream Home's stove showcase is made entirely from B-roll shot at a high frame rate and slowed down in the edit.

A single shoot can mix two or three of these, so one day covers the product page, the YouTube channel and the ads.

What do you get from one product shoot?

We plan a product shoot as a batch, so one day produces a set of videos for each product rather than a single film. Depending on the plan, each product can come away with:

  • A 16:9 demo for the product page, YouTube and the screens in your showroom.
  • 9:16 vertical cuts for Reels, Stories, YouTube Shorts and Meta ads, plus 1:1 versions where they are needed.
  • Short ad cuts with different openings, such as the product in use, a close-up of the detail or the offer, so the campaigns have something to test.
  • Subtitles where they help, especially on the social and ad versions, because a lot of feed video is watched without sound.
  • Product stills and static ad frames from the same setups.

Plantech got sixteen assets from one day on their stand at the Ideal Home Show in the RDS: fifteen vertical reels and a website film (see the Plantech project). Everything is delivered in a shared Google Drive in high resolution, including the raw footage from the shoot, and you own the videos. For exact pixel sizes, see what size and format video ads should be.

How do product videos work as ads?

A product video only pays for itself when the right people see it. Because the team that films your products also runs the Meta and Google campaigns, every project is versioned for where it will run, with short hooks cut for the ads. A strong product ad puts the product on screen in the first three seconds, states the offer plainly and comes in enough versions to test against each other.

  • One ad per buyer question. Cut separate versions that answer how it works, whether it is any good and how it looks in a real home, then put the budget behind the question your buyers respond to.
  • Test video against static. For Dream Home, when the video ads beat the static ones, the statics were retired and the budget followed the video.
  • Go live with the launch. Because the same team shoots the content and runs the campaigns, a launch reel can be live as an ad the day it is delivered.
  • Send the click to the product. Point the ad at the product page or a landing page with the longer demo on it, rather than an instant form or your homepage, so people arrive with some intent.
  • Track before you spend. Conversion tracking through Google Tag Manager, so Meta and Google optimise towards real enquiries and sales rather than clicks.

To decide which platform to start on, read Meta or YouTube video ads: which should an Irish business run first?

Proof

McGuirks Golf

One of Ireland's best-known golf retailers. Four shoot days over two months produced a nine-part YouTube review series and twelve reels for social, with a look set once and repeated every episode. Some episodes passed 20,000 clicks on a small channel.

"The quality of content they have produced has been outstanding and we can see it through the traction on our socials. The turnaround time is excellent…"McGuirks Golf, Google review

Irish Golfer

Launch films for new clubs from brands such as Titleist and TaylorMade, each delivered as a YouTube edit and an Instagram reel from the same shoot, alongside the magazine's video podcast and photography since October 2025.

"…They are so professional and have all the right gear to cover any production needs we had."Peter Finnan, Director and Publisher, Irish Golfer

Dream Home Co.

Stoves, fireplaces and media walls filmed in the homes they were fitted in, one day a month since December 2024: around six vertical videos plus a long-form piece each month, run as Meta and Google ads. In one month: 108,000+ impressions, a 3.11% click-through rate and 27 leads.

"Not only is their work second to none, but they are two great guys to work with. Our business has definitely felt the positives of having these guys on board."Eoin, Founder, Dream Home Co.

Questions we get asked

What is a product demonstration video?

A product demonstration video shows a product doing its job, so a buyer can see how it works, what the finish looks like and whether it suits them before they buy or enquire. Most combine close detail, the product in use and a presenter, a voiceover or on-screen text. The same footage is usually cut two ways: a longer 16:9 version for the product page, YouTube or showroom screens, and short 9:16 versions for Reels, Shorts and ads. StepRight's 0:38 foot scanner ad, filmed close in a darkened room so the scan itself is the hook, runs on Meta and Google.

How long should a product demo video be?

Most product demo videos should run between 15 seconds and two minutes, depending on where they play. Ad and Reels versions usually work best at 15 to 30 seconds, with the product doing its job on screen straight away rather than a logo or a slow reveal. A review or a product-page demo can run to a minute or two, because the viewer is already interested. Our own product work sits in that range: the Under Armour footwear film for McGuirks Golf runs 0:29 and the Vokey SM11 review 1:10. Cut both a short ad version and a longer page version from the same shoot.

What should you look for in a product demonstration agency?

Look for product work in their portfolio, not only talking heads, and ask how they plan close-ups, lighting and sound for small or reflective products. Check they deliver every format from one shoot: 16:9 for your website and YouTube, 9:16 for Reels and ads. Ask who will be on set and who will edit. Agree in writing who owns the footage and whether the music is licensed for paid ads. Blue Motion Media films the product and runs the Meta and Google ads. The client owns the videos and gets the raw footage as well as the finished edits, and the music in our edits is licensed for paid ads.

Do we need someone on camera for a product video?

No. Many strong product videos have no presenter at all: close detail, hands using the product, and a voiceover or on-screen text. Dream Home's stove showcase film is made entirely from B-roll. When you want a face, start with the person in your business who knows the product best, answering the questions customers ask, then add an expert or a customer. Our documentary background means we know how to put people at ease on camera, and talking points work better than a word-for-word script.

How much does product video production cost in Ireland?

In Ireland, a short social video typically costs €1,500 to €5,000 ex VAT, and a planned content day cut into a batch of short videos €3,000 to €10,000. These are Irish market ranges, not any one studio's prices. The number moves with how many products, locations and versions you need, and whether a presenter or voiceover is involved. Blue Motion Media quotes each project after a free 30-minute strategy call. The full breakdown is in our video production cost guide on the blog.

Do product review videos need to be labelled as ads in Ireland?

If you pay a creator to review your product on their own social channels, yes. Joint guidance from the CCPC and the ASAI, published in October 2023, says commercial content should be labelled #Ad (or #Fógra for Irish-language posts), that the label must be instantly visible, and that influencers posting about their own brands must label those posts as advertising too. The guidance also covers gifted products. Whoever presents the review, keep the claims accurate, because misleading a consumer is an offence. This is general information, not legal advice.
